Staticworx® announces RoHS compliance for all ESD vinyl and rubber products
Watertown, MA November 11, 2007
What is RoHS?
According to www.rohs.or.uk, "The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing in the market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. Manufacturers need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Directive to ensure that their products, and their components, comply."
All Staticworx® tile products meet this directive. Additionally Staticworx® has launched their line of EC and ED ESD rubber flooring. Both of these products meet RoHS and they are completely PVC and Halogen free.
