In this 9-1-1 Call Center static dissipative carpet tile was installed as a companion product to Staticworx Eclipse EC rubber tiles over raised access floor panels.
ShadowFX Carpet and EC ESD Rubber were installed together.

The requirements for end user critical environments like E-9-1-1 call centers, FAA fights towers, data centers and control rooms are not the same as those referenced for ESD protected areas (EPAs) in electronics manufacturing. Recent discovery of revisions in telecommunication industry grounding standards has significantly altered the approved parameters for safe grounding of carpet tile in end user applications. The Conductors carpet tile is no longer recommended for these applications.
Shadow FX was designed to address these changes. Telecommunication industry grounding standards should be referenced on performance specification for communication room applications. Contact Staticworx for questions related to telecommunication and computer industry standards.

Economical
Our ESD Carpet Tile costs less to install and maintain than broadloom products. In a typical broadloom installation, yards of carpet are lost when the carpet is measured and cut. Modular ESD carpet tile, measuring 24” x 24”, can be installed with minimal waste, providing enough cost savings to make the tiles competitive in price to broadloom carpet.
All Staticworx carpet tiles are installed using a releasable adhesive (pdf) so damaged tiles can be easily removed and reinstalled in small sections, for further savings in maintenance and replacement costs.
Our Modular ESD carpet tile is also competitive priced with conductive hard surface floors like ESD vinyl tile and static resistant epoxy flooring. Because repairs of damaged tiles are easy and inexpensive the cost of ownership of ESD carpet tiles is actually less than hard ESD epoxy and other seamless and monolithic coatings.

Easy to Maintain
Staticworx ESD Carpet Tile are easily maintained using conventional carpet cleaning methods like vacuuming, steam-cleaning and encapsulation*. Antistatic sprays are never needed to preserve ESD performance.
*Encapsulation technology uses chemistry to help keep carpet clean longer. The first step to encapsulation is to surround the oily and sticky soil particles, and then crystallize them so they can't attract more soil. Once the particles are crystallized, they're easily vacuumed up from the carpet fibers. The result is eliminating dirt-attracting residue in the carpet which allows the carpet to stay clean longer.
Versatile
Staticworx ESD Carpet Tile is easy to move and can be reinstalled over and over again.
Our carpet tiles can be installed right over old VCT, epoxy and raised access floors for an attractive, seamless look. Applied using a Conductive Releasable Adhesive, are simple to install, requiring just 1 hour downtime from start to finish. The carpet tiles are also easy to remove, making repair to damaged sections or single tiles inexpensive and easy. And if floor plans change, simply switch the tiles around. Some of our clients even take them with them when they move to a new location.

and stick backing is ideal for use with either ShadowFX or Conductors Series
carpet styles.

Lifetime Warranty
